When it comes to "distribution box", most electrical personnel must be very familiar with it. It is an electrical product that can be seen everywhere in our daily life. The distribution box is a box used to install terminal metering equipment and control terminal power supply at this stage. It is required to assemble switchgear, measuring instruments, protective appliances and auxiliary equipment in a closed or semi-closed metal cabinet or on the screen to form a low-voltage distribution box. During normal operation, the circuit can be switched on or off by means of manual or automatic switches. With the continuous development of electrical installation and construction projects, people pay more and more attention to the installation and attention of building electrical engineering. Distribution box is an important component in building electrical installation, which is directly related to voltage distribution, electrical control and power supply. The performance of multiple functions is closely related to the overall safety of the building. However, in the construction of high-power distribution boxes in building electrical installations, common quality problems are prone to occur, which affects the quality of building electrical installations.

Ⅰ. The meaning of distribution box

"Distribution box", also called power distribution cabinet, is a general term for motor control center. The electric distribution box is a low-voltage power distribution device that assembles switchgear, measuring instruments, protective appliances and auxiliary equipment in a closed or semi-closed metal cabinet or on the screen according to the electrical wiring requirements.

Ⅱ. The use of distribution box

It is easy to manage, and it is helpful for maintenance when a circuit failure occurs. Electric power distribution box and distribution cabinet, distribution panel, distribution panel, etc., are complete sets of equipment for centralized installation of switches, meters and other equipment. The commonly used distribution boxes are made of wood and iron. Nowadays, the electricity consumption is quite large, so iron is used more. The purpose of the distribution box is to facilitate the power stop and power transmission, and play the role of measuring and judging the power stop and power transmission.

Ⅲ. The distribution box constitutes the main part

Complete set of parts, namely the enclosure of the distribution box and its related accessories. Electrical components and related accessories, that is, air switches and their required accessories. The cabinet consists of the following parts:

1. Circuit breaker switch

It is the main component of the power distribution cabinet, commonly used are air switch, leakage switch, dual power automatic transfer switch.

2. Air switch

The air switch, also known as the air circuit breaker, connects, breaks and carries the rated working current and short-circuit, overload and other fault currents in the circuit, and can quickly break the circuit in the event of overload, short-circuit, under-voltage, etc. to achieve reliable protection.

3. Dual power automatic transfer switch

The dual power automatic transfer switch is an automatic switching system for two power sources. After the first channel fails, the dual power automatic transfer switch automatically switches to the second channel to supply power to the load. If the second channel fails, the dual power automatic transfer switch automatically switches to the first channel to supply power to the load.

4. Surge protector

Surge protector, also known as lightning arrester, is an electronic device that provides safety protection for various electronic equipment, instrumentation, and communication lines. When a surge current or voltage is suddenly generated in an electrical circuit or communication line due to external interference, the surge protector can conduct and shun the current in a very short period of time, thereby avoiding damage to other equipment in the circuit by the surge.

The primary role of a surge protector system is to protect electronic equipment from damage from "surges". So if you want to know what a surge protector does, you need to figure out two questions: What is a surge? Why do electronic devices need their protection? Surge is also called surge, as the name implies, it is an instantaneous overvoltage that exceeds the normal operating voltage. Essentially, a surge is a violent pulse that occurs in just a few millionths of a second. Possible causes of surges are heavy equipment, short circuits, power switching, or large engines.
